The mycelium, used by many brands in the creation of supplements, is a mushroom’s root system. While intricate and valuable, they’re easier and cheaper to produce than the whole fruiting body. It’s the production equivalent of growing a flower stem then harvesting it, but not waiting patiently for the flower to blossom.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that everybody’s bodies are unique and process these compounds differently; while some prefer to take an energy boost like Cordyceps in the morning, some actually prefer them in the evening. Experiment and figure out what works best for you & make sure to chat with your doctor if you have any other questions!

The world of fungus is vast - mushrooms like Turkey Tail and Reishi that are immune support superstars are both genetically and morphologically unlike mold. However, it’s always important to discuss your specific situation with your doctor.
This is actually a common misconception - mushrooms have an incredibly low yeast-producing sugar content and they’ll actually strengthen your immune system. If you’re dealing with yeast-related issues, definitely consult a doctor.
